It's that time of year and Sports Cars In The Park have again confirmed their first meet this year will be held at Newby Hall which is near Ripon. All details in the link.
Last May's event at Newby Hall was pretty poorly organised, with up to 5 miles of queueing and access to the site taking up to 2 hours at one stage, though apparently this has been acknowledged by the organisers and a re-designed system put in place. I would suggest it's still advisable to arrive a bit early to miss the inevitable build up of traffic with up to 1,500 cars trying get through one entry gate.
As usual, tickets must be booked and paid for in advance or you won't get entry to the main grounds. Use the group "MBClub.co.uk" if possible when booking as it will hopefully keep us all together in the same area. Having said that, the organisers tend to just group us all under the German banner unless there are loads of us, so we should all end up together.
I'm not 100% sure I'll be attending as yet but I'll certainly be trying for it. If I do get there, I'll probably be in the old truck, saving the Mercedes for Horndean the week after.
