hey,
quick one.
would it be ok for me to mix my car wash detergent with water and use it as the fluid? i cannot be bothered to go looking for some proper ones...

thanks,
jeff

I don't know what the anti-freezing properties are like but otherwise I don't think it would cause too many problems, although it might foam a bit.

Anything that claims to contain any kind of wax or gloss might make a mess of the screen.

Not Recommended mate, Too much detergent will foam as Shude says and not clean properly, leave streaks etc. Plain water will be better if you cannot be bothered to buy the proper stuff.

Moved to Bodywork

It will also strip all wax and protection off your paintwork. Use the proper stuff.

Is it April 1st??

Hang on, normal car shampoo doesn't do that, otherwise washing your car would be a weekly disaster. What are you talking about? :)
