Screen washers won't switch off

Hi, my 2005 SL350 developed an odd issue, driving along on a lovely dry day the screen washers came on permanently and would only stop after switching the car off and removing the fuse. I have striped the operating stalk and they still stay on, even with this dismantled and no sliding activators in place. Any ideas much appreciated, no another faults apparent and no codes showing. Have you got a Green relay like the one in in this link... http://imgur.com/I4bJeMR
It controls the washer.

Thank you I will check, I thought there must be a relay but couldn't find where it was, I pulled all the ones on the drivers side where the fuse is. I will check in a bit and let you know. Many thanks Pete

No relay like that on the SL that I can see in either of the fuse panels in the engine bay and no reference to a washer relay in a fuse and relay document I found . Thanks for replying though. Cheers
