Service care plan

I purchased a 4 service plan on my W212 E350CDI.

At the time the sales guy showed the service costs including cost of transmission gearbox oil change.

I have now had 3 of the 4 services and it has never been changed.

Last I asked they said the gearbox oil change was only on certain gearboxes.

Annoyed about it because it is £400 a year paid in monthly instalments.

Not sure they are really worth it.

Final 4th service will be next year after which it might go to an independent.

My 59 plate w212 will now be going to an indie, an as it's electronic service record there was never any need to use dealers in the first place! Mobilo isn't even worth staying with dealers, however not sure about recall work?? Do indies carry out recall work if applicable? Eg injector recall

All done 30 pounds a month for two years. Covers me for this years service in June and June 2015. My pcp will end in June 2016, I spoke to the MB finance and as my term end date is two days before the last service date starts I don't need to get it done as the car will be going back.

Good luck, but I will be gobsmacked if that's correct.

I wonder if taking the car in as late as possible for its other services would push the next service date back?

I've spent significant time asking questions and it's correct!

It's come up before and I'm sure the upshot was that it had to be serviced. You get the car serviced for each year you use it.

The suggestion was that it's arguable if the service indicator isn't on, but I assume (as on my car) that it comes up 30 days before the due date - hence I wondered if you could get out of it by having the other services done late. But I don't know if the service indicator works like that or if it would still call for service at the "proper" date.

What's the deal on MOT? When we had lease cars at work they had to be MOT'd before return (was quite funny when one of mine failed and the lease company had to spend money on it :) ).

No idea about mot it will be back with mercedes before it's due date!

My C250 CDI is due back with mercedes end of August. i got it serviced in September and thought that if it is not showing to be serviced on the dash does it need to be done as the service is due in September (mid month). Do I have to get this done before it goes back or does anyone know the costs of not getting it done should mercedes request I do need it completed before return.
