Service intervals ???

Hi folks,

how often should my S320 (2001)be serviced?
I only drive 6k per year .
The service thing on the computer readout says in 2000miles. It was last serviced 14 months ago when I got the car.
Should I wait till the car tells me or when MB dealer tells me?

Wait till the car tells you, dont worry as modern cars have slightly longer periods.

Slightly? You're not wrong. My M class is 14months old now, 17.5K on the clock and the Assyt is telling me I need a one spanner service in 2.5K.....longest service interval I've ever had.

am I right in thinking you must have the car serviced at least once every two years even if Assyst says otherwise?

Assyst takes account of that. If the mileage is very low, it switches to forecasting the next service due date in days. At least that is the case on the system in the W211.
