Service schedule

Is there a way to know when the Mercedes recommended ATF change or any other 'expensive' service is due (what other regular services could be expensive)?
My car (W246 - 2016 model year) has completed 60k miles now. Still unable to decide whether to go with a ServiceCare plan.
Most main dealers around my area are quoting approx. £560 for the upcoming B service (includes brake fluid change), and an additional £50+ for MOT.
Yeah put your reg into that link I gave you and fiddle with the mileage , you can go up but not down. Most dct are 62000 miles or 5 years. So yours should of been done in 2021 by rights and due again in 2026.

The only way for you to know is via the service history.

You'll need STAR in order to check on the car what was done to it.

If your 2016 car has the 7g+ transmission, then it should have been done at 5 years, I.e. in 2021.

The service history is important, because the service plan will not cover any 'catch up' items - I.e., if the ATF wasn't done on time beforehand, then the service plan won't cover it. It will only cover items that fall due durating the lifespan of the plan, but not items that were missed before.

Am I going crazy, but didn't the ESS used to be publicly available? Now it needs some kind of trade account or just never loads?

yes it’s not been available for some months now. The online service quote tool on the. Er exes website will tell you what’s due based on age and mileage.

As suspected, the MB dealership (booked service at a closer dealership than the one I bought the car from) has now come back saying that a transmission oil and filter change is due so the quoted service charge is now £900.36 (originally quoted £560).
Even though this is a used car, is the selling dealership liable for bearing the cost for these pending service items? The car is still under warranty. Is it worth the fight, or did I not do my due diligence?

Doesn’t approved used guarantee that if work is coming up in 3000 miles or 3 months they cover it ??
Was it due before you bought it ?

I think the issue here is that if the ATF was skipped back in 2021, then the car never had FSH when it was later sold on. That's an issue to raise with the supplying dealer, I.e. the car is 'not as described'.

Contacted the selling dealership, who have not been able to find any records of those service items being completed on the vehicle. I have now queried if they would cover the additional expense. They are yet to get back to me.
Buying approved used cars from the main dealership makes no sense if they can sell vehicles that have service items so long overdue!! And disappointingly they do not share service records before or on sale of the vehicle!

There are two angles here.

The first is that under the Approved Used scheme, cars should have FSH.

The second is that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, items must be 'as described', and if you were told that the car is Approved Used and has FSH, then the seller falls foul of the law.

In either case, the seller needs to rectify the situation and carry out (or pay for) alll missed service items.

Finally, the selling dealership confirmed that the ATF was serviced in 2022 but the person then did not update that within the Electronic Service Record (apparently, they use multiple systems and it was just the case of having missed to tick the item). They say they were able to confirm this as they could see invoices for parts and service for that date pertaining to the ATF and filter change. They also said they have placed a request to amend the ESR.

Separately, I requested for a copy of the ESR and was handed a summary of each scheduled service caried out so far but not a detailed service record. Will have to figure out whom to contact for that or may have to walk into their dealership (more than and hour's drive away) to persuade them!

Would raising a complaint be worth the effort as I feel these things should have been looked into and even basic requests like sharing the service record is not dealt with properly?
