Looking for new one
Hi all

Just a quick query to gauge costs elsewhere but one of my 2 local Merc main dealers has quoted me £420 for a B service which was explained to be oil and filter change and extra checks. Spark Plugs, V-Belt etc all changed within last 18 months so not needed and neither is air or brake fluid as done within last year.

Can I expect other main dealers to be similar costs? For regular servicing I want to keep the main dealer s/h up as currently it has a full documented history I want to keep it going but looking around similar cost for an indie is around £200 max.

Have contacted the other dealer to see how they compare. The dealer who did get back to me did say they would price match any other garage that would use oem Mercedes parts in their service (given only filter and oil changed then this may be easy to do....) so I may look at that option.

Thanks

sounds about right from a main dealer, my B service was about £340 inc pollen filter with me supplying the oil, and brake fluid change was £140.

A service was £120 with me supplying oil.

£420 for an oil change?!?!?!

Why don't you get a quote from an MB indy?

Sounds steep to me. I recently paid £180 at Waterhouse Mercedes for an oil and filter change

A B Service is a bit more than an oil change!
