hey guys
what oil does a e320 cdi 03 take ?
i just brought one and what to service it...
im looking at changing the oil filter, air filter, cambelt? & fuel filters for now
Any advice on how they can be done or can it only be done by mercedes?
Cheers

Do it your self and why not. the oil rcomemded is Mobil 1 5W 40 or an oil that meets the same 229.1 spec though there are better ones now 229.3.

Buy the filters from MB they are much better than after market

Graves link on your other thread talks about the serpentine belt

thanks!
any where i can get the oil at a reasonable price?
How about resetting the oil indicator?

Cheapest place in the UK is Costco at around £25 for 4 liters

Shell Helix is now recomended

You can reset the service indicator and the instructions are in your hand book

sorted! i was told only mercedes can service the car.....

Hi Slik_sly

I still have some Shell Helix Diesel Ultra 5w40 if you want some. It's fully synthetic and satisfies the latest MB 229.3 specification. I'm selling it at £3.80 per litre instead of the recommended £13.99 at your local Shell garage.

For further details see my ad in the For Sale section (you will need to log in first).

Regards

Mike
