hello every one.... just wanted to ask w211 owners...wat would ne necesery to change on a 96k mile car ...it says on the computer its over due a service by 5000km...i asume the timing chain shud be replaced also any other major parts to look out for that will cause trouble if not replased....any input is apreciated thanks :)

forgot to mention is an auto 2005 e200k

I don't think that timing chains are changed as matter of routine - only if they rattle?

Other than that ..

Engine oil

Oil filter
Fuel filter
Air filter
Cabin filter

Brake fluid
Engine coolant
Automatic Transmission Fluid

Spark plugs

Fuel evaporator canister (though not many bother)

so if all the above are replaced evrything should prery much be in perfect running order? thanks very much gne look up how much all that wil cost :)

The above are scheduled service items, i.e. items requiring replacement at set mileage/time intervals, regardless of condition.

There are many other service items that require replacement based on condition upon inspection: brake disks and pads, tyres, suspension components, windscreen wipers, exhaust etc.

These should all be checked when a major service (Service B) is carried out.

PS - to the scheduled service items list - should add keyfob batteries replacement (both fobs).
