Setting Clock on W211

Hi, new here and recently acquired an '03 W211 320CDI Estate. It had Comand fitted but the nav processor was dead and I wanted Bluetooth so have fitted a complete new Chinese system along with a DAB receiver. All works great - except I cannot set the clock in the dash as it was previously managed via the Comand.

I tried disconnecting the battery to adjust the time, but the clock seems to have a mind of its own when I reconnect. Any ideas on a method, or do I just keep trying until it ends up correct?

I think you need to have the car recoded to tell it that it does not have Comand installed.

Just checking as you have not specified, but i take it you are setting the clock time via the dash menu and have the 'use head unit' for time turned off and set to manual?

Problem Fixed

All sorted now! I dropped it into Bursledon Motors in Durley (half a mile from me) and Colin sorted it via Star. Thanks to all that advised on this.
