Not just a pretty engine either - one of the best-sounding too. (I've had a few over the years.)Whilst noodling about the car sales websites, I found an Alfa 156 GTA at a BMW specialists.
Is there a prettier engine this side of a Ferrari?

Underneath the bonnet of my old Alfa 156 looked like that....but it was the humble (but very revvy!) 2.5 version not the 3.2 like that....looked the same though.Whilst noodling about the car sales websites, I found an Alfa 156 GTA at a BMW specialists.

The above engine was in a Cobra replica, mine actually. I built that engine early 2012 and finally got it to just under 500hp, quite useful in a car that weighed slightly over a tonI know sod all about American engines but saw a ITBd cobra once and every single bit of the engine was either chromed or polished and it was off the chart !
That's not the same engine though. The 3.2 in the 159 (and Brera) is actually a GM unit I think.Buddy of mine has 2 Alfa 159 Sportwagons. Both have the 3.2 engines and I think they are AWD cars.
They share the garage with his old Sud and a Integrale Evo 2.
General Motors!!That's not the same engine though. The 3.2 in the 159 (and Brera) is actually a GM unit I think.
Yep.....3.2 GM unit.....not the legendary Busso unit. Sounds rubbish by comparison. That's not the same engine though. The 3.2 in the 159 (and Brera) is actually a GM unit I think.
