The title says it all, I know this is a long shot, however does anyone know where this location is.

For information, my father and late uncle had between them gathered a load of 35mm slides
- over the last couple of years (as the slides were rapidly deteriorating) I scanned and saved to DVD etc.

The only thing I can say for sure is that these pictures are at least 35 years old, however
that doesn't mean they aren't for example 55 years old, hence the people (unknown) to
try and date the clothing.

I think, 1968-1969, because of pipe, cravat and suede shoes.

I'd put it mid 60s too. Certainly earlier than '73.

I'd put it down mid sixties. As to the location the clues apart from the river and the village with the church spire are the brickwork and coping stones.Unlike nowadays bricks didn't tend to be transported halfway across the country when they could be sourced with a reasonable local distance.

Can you take it somewhere to have the picture enlarged, there is a sign where the boats are that could help? one to the left and one to the right.

With the right equipment I bet this could be zoomed in...

You really wanna go up Harley St for that, there's probably some cream available

Oh, sod off, you! :D

Unfortunately, you were closer than you think in some respects. I've just come back from the hospital having gone there suffering quite excruciating pain in my foot, which has now been diagnosed as an acute attack of gout.

No surprise to be honest, it runs in our family :(.

Can I have the wine in your cellar then? :D

Believe me, you don't want to go into my cellar .

This poor thread is being hijacked, so I'm starting a new thread on gout so you two can abuse me there to your heart's content without this thread going belly up!

I thought of that - unfortunately, nothing there, or nothing that developed properly.......
