SL 320 129 suspension

Hello everyone

I have a 1999 SL 320 V6 with pneumatic suspension and adjustable ride height.
The spheres were changed last year by the previous owner, and I find the ride MUCH too hard, and certainly twice as hard as the 129 500 SL I owned previously.
Does anyone know whether the suspension could have been made too hard by some sort of error by the people who changed the spheres, or if there is any way of adjusting ride hardness????
