sl500 129 steering box

Hi,, SL 500 129 2001 model, the steering box, does it have oil or grease for lubricant and how do I check level its got oil in it, does it need removing to check ? not an easy job by the look of it.

Would welcome any input.

Front of engine rhs there is a little reservoir with a screw top lid with a dipstick in the lid. I think!!!!!

level prob ok if no groaning from steering
