SL 55
Dropped the SL off with Ed at DevineDetail for some TLC today. The SL is a keeper and whilst she looks nice, straight and clean, I want to get her looking her very best for the Spring.

She's having a 3 stage work, deep polish, claying, compounding etc to remove all tar and iron.. and having a couple of very minor dents removed (these all show up when you look very closely). And finally getting gtechniq coatings, c1 first then two coatings of gtechniq exo v2 applied ...... I'm not really sure what all that means - but I know Ed does ;)
that way it'll make future cleaning a breeze !!!

Also getting wheels, arches, seats, interior, engine, glass etc cleaned up / dressed, leather treated etc...cant wait to get her back.

www.devinedetail.co.uk came recommended from a member here and I have to say I'm very impressed with the care, attention to detail and genuine interest shown by Ed. That and he seems to be about 50% of the price I've been quoted elsewhere for similar work. - which is nice...

I'll share pre/post pics up once complete.:thumb:

Thinking of getting my SL55 done in the spring hopefully after this crap weather is over. How long will it take and rough idea of cost?

Sounds good Tim.

I dropped in to see Ed a couple of weeks ago, the same day you did. I am having some paint and my new wheels sorted on my car first week in March and then I have my car booked in with Ed for pretty much the same treatment you are having. He's really helpful and enthusiastic and I'm sure will do a fantastic job. Paint correction and gtechniq coatings for me too. I can't wait to get mine done:D

Ed said he would probably have my car for around 4 days, so obviously quite a bit if work. Costs would clearly vary on what needs to be done, but as Tim has said I think very reasonable cost considering extent of work. I will send you a pm.

She was originally booked in for 4 days, but Ed has asked to keep her across the weekend to ensure the work gets done properly. Works for me as I don't want any rushing here and as he only has my car in, I'm sure he's playing it straight with a fixed cost. Great to find someone who genuinely takes pride in their work.

Shame you couldn't make it to the studio for a quote in the end. Glad you found someone you trust :)

Cheers Michael

I had the CL Detailed by Michael at Gemclean. Very Satisfied.

If you look at his latest post you will see the CL + many other cars.
