Hi there does anyone out there know where the EFP control unit is located in my car?

My Car is a 1994 model SL600.

I have had the car on a Star diagnosis machine and apparently the fault lies with the EFP control unit.

Many thanks

joe what is EFP , I thought that I have heard of everything, cant be ESP, what is the problem on the car

Yup I was going to ask the same thing!

Not sure when ESP came in on the R129, the 600 definitely had it by '97.

Thanks guys for your responses.

The problem with the car is that it's constantly in ASR mode. I have had the throttle bodies rebuilt and diagnosed on a Star computer. The throttle bodies are now ok however the fault lies with the EFP control module. Mercedes state this is a seperate module on the later models ie 97 onwards.

Apparently the EFP module controls the throttle bodies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1st Ive heard of them!!

A dealer will be able to find them for you. (if they know what they are doing)

I've not heard of EFP either. EBR is controlled via the EA/CC module which actuates the throttle bodies.
