Slk 280 (r171) tyres

Hi, I drive a 2005 SLK 280 (17" wheels). I will need to replace the front tyres soon - they are Continental Sport Contact 2. While I have had no problem with their grip, they have worn out quickly.

Can anyone out there advise on what might be the best all-round tyre for this car, focussing on the particular attributes of grip, rate of wear and tyre noise.

hi 1wpb most of the guy`s on the forum swear by falken`s pirelli`s or kumho`s i have just put 4 michelins on my c180 it was going to be continental contact 3 or the michelins but i heard that the continentals wear out quicker than most i suppose its just a matter of choice good luck which ever you choose

Hi Jonnymerc, thanks for your comments. Much appreciated. I'm leaning towards Pirelli but will do a bit more research before deciding.
