My question for you knowledgeable folks is this:
Is there a difference between an R170 door and an R170 facelift one?
(It appears to me that the handles are different shapes {on top of being coloured} and so possibly the doors they fit are also different?)
To explain a little-
I've had the miss-fortune of some ****** putting a significant dent in my drivers' door while it was parked [needless to say no details were left on my windscreen], see photo.
Having done a bit of research and spoken with a few body shop type folk I have come to the conclusion that i might as well keep my eye out for a second hand door (in the right colour) and just accept the dent for while.
I'm open to the idea of an "acceptable" rather than perfect [ie replacement door and respray with blending to other panels] repair but it seems unlikely to be much cheaper unless i find a door of the same colour and model as mine is so i want to be sure i'm looking for the right thing.
Any other opinions regarding the repair are also welcome...
Cheers for any thoughts.
