SLK55 AMG MOT Shock!!

Please keep it for 3-5 years and then sell it to me Joe.

Its lovely, the colour is great, and its one of the nicest noises ive heard, lol.

Does it still have the merc backboxes in mate? And I see sensors in the exhaust, what are they reading if it has no cats? is that why the ECU has to be sent off to the US?

No plans to sell mate, keeping her in the garage for you ;)

Yep, still has standard AMG back boxes.

These are the Oxygen sensors. My ECU went to Kleemann HQ in Denmark to get mapped and code out the rear O2s, then went to the US to Jerry tweak it even more, lol.

Few more pics of the AMG - I love this thing!

That is one very lovely looking motor, fair play chief. Have you been giving her a Rub?, so to speak.

I thought from an MOT perspective that the car is supposed to have the same number of CATs in it as per manufactures spec. The problem is most MOT stations don't know how many cats they should have so will pass them if everything is ok. Of course in theory if they do know, they could then fail your car if it has less! :D

Cheers mate.

Lol, What does that mean, Rub? You mean a wash? No she's been covered in dust in the garage, I don't drive her enough, hopefully will be driving her to our place in the south of France with the wife this summer. :)

All the tester cares about is the co2`s.....
You could have a full race system fitted, and as long as the emissions are low enough that's all that matters.

I did tell them before it went for an MOT and they said if it passes emissions then it's all good. ;)

And the MOT tester did say " ohh I see what you've done, nice job"

Well said, sir and that's exactly what the MOT tester said! :)

Talking of MOTs - as you were...Is it (still - was it ever) possible to have a rolling chassis (ie without engine) MOTd?
Pretty sure it was possible with bikes (still?) but cars?

Hey. so just to check you have deleted primary cats, have an x pipe but secondary cats still in place?

Your SLK sounds awesome pal, have you still got a GT AMG on order?

Cheers. I just had the eurocharged headers and primary cat delete done so just checking I could go for x pipe also and retain secondary cats. Cheers - your car looks and sounds tremendous

Nice!

Would love to hear your feedback on them?
A video would be awesome too ;)

This is it on the dyno at eurocharged
