So what do you all do for a living?

I look after the tax affairs for a large multinational. Been doing this for quite a while and a few years ago I bobbed back to the government side of the game for a while as well. Sidelines include running a couple of charities, but it's tax that keeps me in decent motors (I'll shortly be back in a Merc, as I've got an S212 on order to replace the F11BMW)

I thought you counted bricks and nails rather than beans. At least that's what I've done for years. I'm commercial director for a contractor for my sins..

construction a small world , you never know we might have crossed paths. I also work for a contractor, for all I know you could be my boss :rolleyes:
 
Mechanical engineer for the aerospace industry for 25 years! Been at the same place since I left school. I'd like to be that donkey ☺
 
I run a small air conditioning and refrigeration company. Started on the tools as an apprentice 15yrs ago.
 
IT.......... mostly infrastructure. Proud to have contracted for Delphi Diesel System (prev. TRW Diesel Systems, prev. Lucas-Varity, prev. Lucas Automotive.....) for 13 years, though I left just before the Blois factory injectors scandal so nothing to do with me! :D

Now more involved in the management of a number of IT businesses.
 
Civil servant, partially retired. Now down to three days a week. Four is better than five; three is MUCH better than four. I did a lot in the RAF previously; pilot, air traffic controller, Secretarial branch, Intelligence branch. Serial failure, really...

Also part-time troll (ask MoAMG...)
 
I'm also in the construction industry. I'm a carpenter/joinery fitter,as is my twin. We worked together from the start but he now resides in Canada. My eldest has also chosen the same profession.My Dad was also in the game for over 45 years.
I can honestly say that I love my job as much as I did when I started... Though I am looking forward to retirement
 
Retired, it's what you do when life gets too busy to find time go to work.
 
Mechanical engineer for internal combustion engines, final exam was a complete project of VW 1.4 petrol engine. Never worked in automotive industry but in sales of CNC machines, carbide tools and industrial equipment. In last 2 years I run my own company.
 
Pharmaceutical industry for 38yrs, developing novel drug delivery systems and commercial production processes.

Now retired and working part-time for B&Q drawing on 35yrs diy experience ;)

Recruitment until I sold up earlier this year having set up from scratch 11 years ago.

I'm now going to dress up as a donkey.....
 
Originally a telephone engineer back in the days of stepper-motor exchanges but left that for a less boring job. Did this for the last 30 odd yrs and retired nine years ago at 57 :bannana: Do I miss it? Do I miss the 12hr shifts? Do I miss the F8 gales? ...........Aye right!
