Bought some more Meguiars stuff (Halfrauds actually have a good offer on a valet pack - though it was painful watching the staff turn up for work at 10am - moonlighting from Argos and McDonald's maybe? :D ) so will start now - only needs a quick going over as it was all done for the MB World GTG.

When was the MB World GTG, I missed that, and its only down the road from me. Poo:mad:

A couple of weeks ago - MBOA are having one in Feb if you're interested?

Flash, you should get someone else to wash it this time of year! Mine is being washed, polished, interior, and tyres dressed for £25 on Wednesday. Not too bad is it? Only prob' is, I'm down the A1 in it from Lincs to Herts and back on Thursday, so the weather had better be good!!! I'll go back to washing it myself when the weather warms up!

Hi,

Last wash for the Sprinter was done by a hand car wash place run by East Europeans. When ever they see a van they want to charge more BUT not dry all the panels afterwads...

My experience is in this thread.

PS. I hope weather stays good for you...:)

Theres no denying, thats a clean van alright!

Was thinking of washing mine lasty w/end but, weather wasn't too good. Car is really filthy now so, was contemplating putting it through the car wash. Anybody had a bad experience of these things? i am concerned about the badge being ripped off the bonnet!

Your better off keeping it dirty than putting through car wash but salt is not too good for the alloy wheels. Take it to a car a hand car wash place if you really cannot do it yourself rather than a automated car wash.

PS. It wont take you too long to give it a quick once over yourself...;)

South East Water ended their hosepipe ban last week

The toerag got the full treatment on sunday:

- pre-rinse
- wash
- clay
- autoglym super resin polish
- autoglym extra gloss protection
- meguairs final detail
- inside - gliptone leather conditioner for seats (smell always reminds me of the SL)

took the kids out to the park in the afternoon and when I got back had to give it another once over with Final Detail to clean it again before it went in the garage.
Off to the Lake District next weekend so looking forward to racking up some miles and hopefully will finally take some nice pics of the car.

Look forward to seeing the results of the hard work you put in...
