Hi fans, just wanted to share my today's issue with the merc. Have an italian w124 (250D turbo, '92). Today during a trip i heard an awful sound like the lights reminder (i believe in english it's zoomer, but not sure) but more quiet. After few minutes noticed that tachometer, fuel and temperature meters are not operating. Turned the engine off and checked if the dasboard lights are operating and noticed that only the indicators for ABS, ASD and heating plugs are lid. The most important i found out when came home - after 5 miles of trafic jam - the stop lights weren't working too! It turned out fuse #5 failed, replaced it and no more troubles.

PS. If the topic was previously discussed or the moderators decide it's at the wrong place, please remove it and excuse me. Best wishes.

My tip is to replace all the fuses.

I reckon it's the best value for money to improve reliability.
