Some git broke my mirror...

Back on topic... it turns out that the folding mirrors do work after all! They were just stiff from lack of use - a few movements forward and back to loosen them up and they work like a charm. They will now be used any time the car is parked on the road!

I've searched and I don't think a MY2000 W210 can be programmed to auto-shut them - anyone know better? I'd love that functionality :-)

Lesson to learn: always fold in the mirrors no matter how short your parking on the road for. When you have electric folding mirrors, you dont even need to get out the car to do it! You can also set it to auto fold when locking the car via the cluster menu if you wish to do so.

Not on a 210 you cant!

Ref folding of mirrors

My driver's side mirror auto-dimming has sort of 'melted' into the glass with all the chromatic pigment settling to the lower half of the glass. I need to find a replacement heated dimming glass but can't find anyone locally willing to oblige for less than £200 which seems a bit steep. Any leads for a local solution appreciated.
