drivers side electric mirror doesnt work, passenger side and folding mode are fine.

front parking sensors arent working, since a carwash, any ideas. shows red leds straight away on the dash display.

The wiring to your wing mirror will have a break somewhere, which is usually from years of folding in and out.

Drivers side probably a broken wiring loom on the fold. There's a thread on here started by Druk with instructions on how to repair. Loom not available separately. - http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/bodywork/62215-w211-door-mirror.html

Parking Sensors can be diagnosed I believe by STAR. Not sure how else you can diagnose a faulty one.

I have been thinking of taking the car to the car wash but was afraid about parking sensors being messed up by some muppet, so thanks for the post you have made my mind up i will hand wash as usual and be very happy with the result at the end and the parking sensors will still be working, i have never used a car wash and you have just confirmed i have done the right thing, good luck with it all and Happy New Year.

If you have use a pressure washer at home... Just take more care around the parking sensors and keyless go handles.

Out of interest should there be a fire extinguisher in the drivers seat front storage slot? Passenger side holds the first aid kit.
Also a little surprised at the lack of storage/cubby holes in the boot compared to my passat.

Fairly sure that a fire extinguisher was an optional extra - neither of my 211's have had one.

I often get the dual red LED parking sensors not working when it has rained.

They've been checked in the past with none being faulty.

I tried a dielectric grease trick and this stopped them going wrong for ages so I will be having another go at that soon - might be worth you trying if none of yours are faulty (which I suspect given you had the issue after a car wash.
