Some TWIT

Police response on a Friday night into Saturday morning? They will be busy removing drunkards from the town centres
We pay the highest costs towards police salaries and we get the least cover! Police are deployed in the busy twn centres dealing with drunks even though we are assured there is less crime, less violence. Ray has hit the nail on the head, his crime is not a crime... It's an occurance!

Regards
John

No, the spelling was fine, it certainly got the message across, Twit does not.

Russ

The original spelling was not acceptable. Altering one character or entering your own asterix so the word is not censored, somewhat defeats the object

glad you got it sorted so quickly... they should have vac'd up any remains of glass... they did when my W123 got broken into...

Hope all is well now Ray.

Not good news Ray, hope it's all sorted now.
Given that this has happened and local Oics might think there is something worth stealing, either cash or Satnav, etc, it might be worth investing in some clear security window film.

Sorry to hear the bad news.... This isnt new not getting the police to turn up - I had my E Class broken into in a carpark in Leeds in 1999 - idiots stole my radio and damaged the window frame too. The thing was parked 20 metres from the attendant's cabin - when i went over to tell them - they said "yea mate we saw that happen - two yobs did it" -- when i called the police and told them -- not interested here's your crime number (it was a crime then)....Autoglass -- well I had to clear the bits off the seat and drive it to them (traffic too heavy to come to me)....fitted green glass to an avantegarde so had to get it changed when i got home.

Oh yes the attendants then wanted to charge me for the extra time i was in the carpark - I politely told them to go forth and reproduce themselves....

And I didnt get home to gone 2 am.....

Haven't been back to Leeds since................

Bodywork damage in the region of £450....+ glass + radio......all to be sold in a pub for a "hit" for around £35......makes more sense just to stick £20 note to the boot....

Been there 3 times on BMW, PASSAT, PEUGEOT, I'm not a violent man but if i ever catch someone doing that to my property  ...

Really sorry about your 'occurance' and hope you hope you can be more vigilant with the vac than the police can be bothered to be. From experience it will take a little while before all the glass is gone. Get some sleep and hope that your probability of being hit again has gone down:confused:

Don't worry, some twit punched me through my window glass of my old C220CDI 2years ago

After you phone call today I have read all this. As you already know, I am gutted for you. Sincerely hope everything works out and you get a result, but don't hold your breath.

Sorry to hear this.

Just as well you didn't see who ever did it, as god forbid if I caught someone.

It WOULD be a police matter then I guess, and they may even turn up.

  sorry to hear that ,the most annoying thing is the inconvenience of getting it all put right   regards jon

They do when someone calls them, especially if they request an ambulance too....

but being reasonable they don't always prossecute..well at least twice that I know of..not me Guv..
They seem quite grateful that someone is doing their job for them...they get longer in the canteen that way..;)

If you're wondering what I'm doing up at 02:50 in a morning I was just wakened by the sound of my car alarm.
Some kind soul has come up my drive and put a brick through the passenger side window of the Viano in an attempt to get into it. They ran at the alarm going off and didn't get anything (the car is still locked) but there is glass everywhere. I've called the police but dont hold out much hope of anyone turning up.
Right now I feel sick but I have to get autoglas here to make the car secure.
SHOULD OF SAID ALSO MY CAR HAS NO ROAD TAX ,would of being in no time:D :D

last time we had a car broken into the Police were great. It just happened that the moron who broke in decided to smash the back window of an estate with his bare hands. How unfortunate that I had left the load cover extended covering the stuff in the boot of my car. It caught a lovely pool of blood where muppet had cut his hands on the heater wires :)

DNA samples take by the scene of crime boys and girls follwed by an arrest within 24 hours. They couldn't tell us who did it but "accidentally" left a piece of paper on our dining table with the idiots name on it after they took our statement.

When it got to court he pleaded guilty but the magistrate said that we hadn't suffered any loss (because we were had both personal effects and motor insurance) so therefore we weren't entitled to any compensation.

The thief got away with being tagged for 6 months and a very firm "talking to" during which we persuaded him to not only make amends but also to promise never to go anywhere near my car again without a sponge in his hand :D
