I got it on a picture incase i'm being a newbie and quoting the wrong part.

(It says "Kompressor" on it, you may not be able to see it due to picture being tiny)

I need one of these for a C230K W202, as mine has corroded and looks pretty bad.

P.S. If anyone knows the part number for this off the top of their head i'd be grateful! since then i could just type it into a breakers yard website or something.

A tip.

For any parts enquiry ALWAYS quote the VIN of the car.

Parts change from model to model as the models evolve over time.

You will have seen that there are two C230 (202) listed on the site - but which is yours ????????

The VIN will automatically only list the correct parts for YOUR particular car.

The Russian site is not always up to date, but some of us are subscribers to Mercedes live EPC so can tell you proper latest part number.

What website is this? or wont i have access to it? I'm not sure i want to publish my VIN number here for everyone to see if u know what i mean :D (could be harmless but i aint so sure)

Its the Camshaft cover is it not?

It's the spark plug/coil cover.
The bigger light grey unit, that the red cover is mounted onto, is the cam cover.

Just before I headed offshore
I recently sent both items off to a place in Scotland that does powder coating. Actually my wife flew with them in her case Faro to Aberdeen :)
Family are up that way.. It's bit far to send from Portugal but nowhere around there would do a decent job IMHO.

Have a hunt for powder coating specialist in your area and get some quotes.

I've done even better, I've found that the cover from the stealership brand new is £25.98. I'm quite happy they didnt see it as a chance to rip me off to be honest, so i ordered it, will arrive monday from germany. Aparently my VIN number doesn't appear on their system because my car is an import, but he phoned me back and got it in the end.
