After some advice about changing my plugs. Where is the best place to buy them? do you spend £4.20 per plug from Eurocarparts (bosch) or £10 a plug from MB for there plugs?

or is there a better option

:) Danny

Thanks Bobby, whats the general consensus on which type to go for bosch, ngk etc?

If you go with what the manufacturer recommends, you can't go wrong.

Especially with a V6 or V8, its just too much hassle to go back and change all those plugs (two per cylinder) again just for the sake of fitting something different that may or may not perform well with the engine.

So if it is Bosch, I'd say stick to Bosch :)

Stick to bosch, nothing wrong with them.

Of course Euro Car Parts. The merc ones are also bosch, so whats the point of paying the premium? :D

Also try GSF. I got my Bosch there and they were cheaper than anywhere else and that included free delivery.

Thanks for that now a difficult decision..

£144.44 for bosch via Dealership....or £67.20 from eurocarparts :p

Let us know the outcome as I do not feel you are comparing like for like.

I doubt they will be supplying you with the same plug number/type as Merc would be.

I found Merc to be competitive on plugs and I am assured of getting the proper ones/heat range.

I would buy just one from each place and see if they are indeed the same Bosch number.

The slam panel on my vehicle has a official sticker which states the plugs as Bosch or Beru with a Bosch and Beru part number.

The only difference about buying Bosch parts from Mercedes is you get an equivalant mercedes part number, you will be charged double and the presentation / packaging will be different.

The Bosch number has always been on the plugs I got from Merc parts dept.
