Hello

Had a little bit of vibration after having the new alloys fitted, apparently they were intended for an ML270Cdi so weighted up but never fitted...

Turns out they were missing some weights, maybe they came off in transit who knows.

Anyway took it to costco as going their anyway and they balanced all the wheels and filled them up with Nitrogen??? (meant to be better than just air.....)

What they said however was that they would recommend sprigot rings, a plastic washer between the hub and the alloys to the fit is a better seal. On all the cars I have ever changed the alloys I've never been told this.

What do people think, is this normal. I'm on the search for some but need my hub measurement and wheel measurement. They will fit them back on for free when I get some :)

Thanks

They are spigot rings The centre bore of your car (ml) should be 66.6 so you will need a spigot ring that reduces to that size to make the wheel fit hub centric This link is probably the size you are looking for here..SPIGOT RING LOCATING RING 73.1 - 66.6 MERCEDES SET OF 5 on eBay (end time 13-Apr-10 19:14:38 BST)
To make perfectly sure they are the correct size check the diameter of the wheel (hole in the centre)It should measure 73.1
The listing does show a diagram and explains it

Hope this helps
Terry
