I have the same problem,

I have been told to put the car on STAR to diagnose and then fix the problem, followed by putting the car back on STAR to clear the fault.

Get it fixed. Unless you value your or your passenger's life less than the cost of repair !!

You can save some ££ by seeing an independant [with Star Diagnosis] rather than a main dealer of course - the diganostics will tell them exactly what has failed ...

Had same, and on my W203 (2006) it was the front passenger occupancy sensor, which is apparently a known problem.

Olly (Black55) had mine replaced and the problem is now resolved.

But as said above, you need to get the codes read first to know which component the SRS is complaining about.
