Can anyone suggest why the SRS warning should intermitantly come on, stay on for a while then clear, and maybe return further into journey, car is E class w211
2003

Hi,
Does the intermittent warning light seem to coincide to whether you have anyone in the front passenger seat? As a very common fault on the SRS system is the front passenger seat occupancy sensor pad failling, or a dodgy/broken connection under the passenger seat to the said sensor pad

Please does anyone know what it means when the display says ---- convenience functions temporarily disabled ---- the battery has been tested OK it clears after a few mins when it displays ----they are available again.
Thanks in advance for any information

Isn't that things like "fold the mirrors on locking" and "lights to illuminate a minute after locking at night"

Anyway you have low voltage after the start. IF battery is still ok, you may have current drain in you car which drains the battery, measure it!

Convenience functions like heated seats, electric mirrors etc are shut off to keep voltage up as long as possible. There is 3 stages according the voltage level, which consumers are disabled.
