When I installed my CD changer I was getting the same message, and was unable to change cd tracks, volume or radio stations from the steering wheel controls. Instead of going to the dealers I decided to take a gamble and sort it out myself, this is what i did, I took the existing brown and brown/red wires and connected them to the brown and brown/red wires in the new block. Have left the black connector with the 2 blue wires and the small clip with the brown and brwon/red wires alone as I don't think I need these.
Anyway I am now able to change the volume and the cd tracks from the sterring wheel and the display now functions as normal.
Steve will this affect anything else or is it ok? everything seems to be functioning normally.
