I'm thinking of having a go at replacing the broken stepper arm linkage in my CLK (w209) as I have a strange clicking noise coming from the dash. Any ideas what part numbers I may need, and also can I use the guide from the american forums for the W203 ?

Looks like all stepper motors are the same?

Or is the issue actually a part attached to the motor?

All the motors are the same. The part that breaks is just the plastic levers which are moved by the stepper motors.

A diagnostic will reveal the culprit.

W203 and W209 have the same part number for the heater box.
