Stop start not working

Are you asking about the W204? I think that if you simply disconnect the auxiliary battery, Stop/Start will be disabled with no other ill effects. It won't work on the W205, though, because it will throw an error on the dash.

I have the reverse of your problem. I don't want the function to operate. It wasn't working when i bought the car three and a half years ago. I've changed both batteries and now the blasted thing is working ! I want to know how to permanently switch it off. Now, I fitted a normal lead acid battery, not an AGM and my start / stop is working, it drives me round the bend if I forget to switch it off.

If your small battery is in the boot , there's a 7.5 amp fuse just above and behind it , pull it out to disable stop start . 👍👍

You can permanently disable by getting rid of the auxiliary battery in the boot .

Worth selling on £30 all day long and saves 5Kg in weight .
