Strange aircon problem

Hi All,according to the manual of my w208 clk320 cab the air con is on unless you press the ec switch & red light illuminates but have noticed yesterday/today(since weathers got warmer)that it definately is colder air blowing when the ec switch is pressed/illuminated than when it's not,any ideas?

Yep had this on my W208 coup.
Althought it's colder with light on, it still wasn't air con cold.
Turned out it need a new part. Think it was some temp sensor somewhere.

You need it diagnosing properly. Do you know a good Indy with STAR?

Thanks for the reply,will get it hooked up on star(got another issue with a check bulb fault on assyst that needs clearing),did you by any chance have this other problem on your w208,when air con is acctivated the temp controls work ok but as soon as you turn engine off then re-start within 30 minutes the air con turns itself off resc button is activated & the heater is on full heat(you have no control over the air con/resc or heater until you turn engine off for 30 mins then all is ok again)
