Summer Event..

Due to being totally gutted that I'm missing the Maidenhead event at Maff's because I'm on hols,   how about a mid country GTG mid country in late Aug/Sept??
Again if there's enough interest I will arrange something, maybe at the Gaydon Motor museum...

I have previosly suggested Sept 29th  at Trentham park in Stoke on Trent, this has met with favourable reception, but if the museum you mention is better suited then lets go for that, i personally don't know it, but can soon find it, as long as its relatively central, then we can get the "Scottish" contingent down.

Lets stay with your suggestion as Gaydon is way down the M40 the wrong side of Birmingham, Trentham is better for the Scotty boys and girls....

I'm really not fussed, but do have in mind attempting to please everyone!!

Trentham is exactly half way between Glasgow and me, thats why i suggested it, i haven't been there for years, but the RAC rally uses it on a regular basis, so i figured that it must have plenty of space for parking cars.

If anyone else knows of a better/more central location, then please speak up.

I'm reasonably close to Trentham and expect to have some spare time in Sept to help with organisation.

PS. I can't make the Maidenhead barbecue because of other commitments, but I hope the sun shines on you all and makes the Mercs sparkle.

Chaps, it sounds like the concensus is Trentham and Maidenhead both it late August or September.

I say both purely because of geography. Two events well spaced would get a much better turn out than 1 event central.

I live in Woking in Surrey so not keen on Trentham but could make Matts southern bash while you guys organise a Midlands and North get together.

At least this way more of us can get together at one event or other  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
