My 1994 C180 sunroof is moving slowly and is not moving square to the front edge. I mean that it is moving backwards at an angle of about 10 to 20 degrees off square. Why? Has the brackets been damaged, cracked or broken? Or has the pulley popped off or the chain/belt/wire been over stretched? I have no idea of what the mechanism is made of so I am only guessing. Forgive my guesses. Please give me some idea of what may have gone wrong and some ideas of how to fix it. The stealers will say here it will cost A$2000 minimum to take everything out to find the cause and fix it and rebuild it. It was stuck 2 years ago and one dealer mechanic just applied lots of Merc grease and fixed it cheaply. Looks like its gone again. I just recharged my battery and its not a weak battery now.
