Hi

Does anyone know how to test these? its coming up on the diagnostic but would like to test before I fork out for something I may not need

Camshaft position sensor (CPS)

Thanks in advance

I bought the cps a new one but it says cps still on diagnostic? Help

113 what wont start, All plugs are fine, Cps lead as earth source and voltage checked, something has turned off fuel, the pump is apparently a new one, The fuel pump is initializing, I can here it, but then something must be switching it off when turning over, can the camshaft position sensor warning turn it off? its a new sensor but not a bosch

Check the wiring firstly.

The engine control unit is under the right headlamp. They do tend to get wet.....

Is this on the flywheel? or underneath the crank on the chain side?

The fuel pump will turn off if it does not receive an ignition signal. Check the wiring as BlackC55 suggests

ps: this van was put away for 12mnths, since that time its not been run and now wont start, plugs are new fine and have spark, pump primes, I can here it, that too is new, could chain of jumped? what should compression test read?

Check the wiring first before doing anything else.

It said camshaft sensor on my cheapo diagnostic: also i can see any ecu under headlight, also, this would be a bonkers place to put an ecu surely?

A possible indication of Crankshft position sensor failure is to check if the rev counter needle 'bounces' slightly during cranking the engine, if it doesnt move at all then I would suspect a faulty crank sensor.

Just an afterthought..... If it was ok before it was laid up and then left for 12 months you might have had a family of 'squatter' mice moved in and made a meal of some wiring...... so, as suggested, check the wiring (as well as the aforementioned test)

I will check, also didnt mention, when trying bump it didnt start but after 15 mins towing to new home i tried again and it started? Sounded a bit like a miss fire a bit but drove home, now back to not starting turning over i cracked open fuel on injector rail and no fuel turning over

My crankshaft sensor is reading 676 ohms and the bid says 200 -500 ohms? Is this bust?

According to USER e270 owner, the crankshaft sensor should be giving out 0.2-2 ac volts when cracking, I don't get any signal at all, when I connect 2 wires with sensor on get nothing, when I go direct to the wire on its own I get nothing, no volts, no signal, again the sensor reads 676 ohms

Did you even try the suggested 'rev counter bounce' check???

One or two 'please' or 'thanks' wouldnt go amiss to those trying to help you!, ...just common courtesy.
