Finish off all of the stickers and add a roll cage, change the alloys to the orignal ones it would look more authentic...

mmm, maybe we should do that with our W108 :D

If ever there was a case for debadging an AMG this is it! :crazy:
 
Somehow I can't imagine the original would have an auto 'box either, but this one does...

I'm fairly positive the orginal was an auto, although I'm sure some MBClub bod will know for sure :)

It could be a nice replica if someone with decent know-how finished it off.

That's the best argument I've seen in ages for big tyres and against low-profiles!

I hate this trend for 20-profile tyres on old cars. Makes me itch! Long live 70 and 80-profile!!

Interesting fact or not as the case may be.....the W108 AMG thats sits in AMG's factory ie photo above) is not the original racer that they used to race in the early 70's. Its a replica as they sold the original when they stopped racing it...it was sold to an aircraft tyre company who used it for testing aircraft tyres!!! The replica was made a number of years later when they realised they had sold off their heritage!
