The bad old days

I'm fairly certain it was this one in racing yellow!

And I suppose it was better than an All-aggro?

Strange...the pic I dragged onto my previous post appears to have disappeared. Is there an issue with images?

I wasn't even twenty, so you could imagine a couple that looked o.k., bright yellow and had a stereo as standard. On top of which ran like Swiss watch. ;)

All these modern cars :D first oil change for me was on a 100E Ford Pop with 3 speed box and wipers that stopped going up hill, then progressed to a 1964 mini 850, those were the days

The first of my "hot black oil running down my arm as I unscrewed the sump plug" cars was a 1954 Austin A40 Somerset. But I was posh so I tried to get most of the oil into an old oil can with the side cut out - as I lay in the public road outside my parents house. I should have done some calculating when I tried that on my next car, a 1956 Jaguar Mk7 - the sump capacity was somewhat greater than that of the old oil can . (BTW, the wipers on the Jag were almost as pathetic as on the Ford Pop and once declare "F*** it" when I was driving at around 125mph - before speed limits - on the M4 and the heavens opened. Driving blind at that speed is not to be recommended )
