The best way to ruin your Mercedes-Benz is...

Saw it today in Chingford, East London and couldn't resist not to take a photo of it.

...give it to me for the weekend. :)

.... put it into a certain main dealer for replacement springs....

Is to remove that iconic three pointed star emblem from the bonnet----------Oh! -----Mercedes have already done that all by themselves. :wallbash: ------- or "Das Beste oder Nichts BRUV " as ol Gottlieb would say to his homies

Probably the best thing they ever did. Appeals to the modern younger generation rather than a handful of boring luddites who don't want to join the 21st century.

PS My wheels are black too :thumb:

How about by putting tacky black film on some of the windows making it look like some kind of Mafia staff car ?

Well by the colour of rear windows and automatic gun shot stickers this CLS is used by some wannabe East London Capo di tutt'i capi. I just can't imagine what was this looney thinking (if there is anything to think with at all) of sticking all this on his car and what kind of checks he goes through every time traffic police stop him.

Fair enough...
The only problem is that the UK is the only country in the world where MB simply removed that option from any car apart from the S-Class, which turned a personal style choice into a generational clash (Fast & Furious vs Boring Luddites).
Why cannot we just live together in peaceful harmony?

IMHO the worst thing that you can do to any Mercedes is to have 2 stars at the same time: the little one on the bonnet and the big one on the grille. Pure trash!

This is what I was talking about:

...to stick a smelly old diesel engine in it instead of a proper one.

Let my wife drive it.
My SL has bonnet badge + star grille, suits me fine, but then , of course, at 63 i am ancient. Old enough anyway to not give a flying **** what any young whippersnapper thinks. I don`t even have black wheels.

Mrs TDE1 is terrified of mine. Just the size of it, compared to her Corsa. She still, after 4 years, thinks its "about 2 litre". ;)

Star grille belongs on a SL, and bonnet badge wouldn't be at all out of place IMHO. :thumb:

But on a big old E class.. nah.

My wheels are silver, as is some of my hair, and I'm decades away from being a whippersnapper.

To remove the Mercedes Star from the grill and replace with a Brabus or Carlsson one.

...by letting my mate Dave drive it! ;)
