The definitive E320cdi MPG

155 is nice but it's not all about top speed, it's how fast it gets there. ;)

Absolutely.

I fully recommend 0-60 in 1s, 0-100 in under 3s and 165 in 7.9s

You've got to make sure you have your arm back in the window after chucking the coins into the toll bucket though.

I think your car gets a bit slow from 100-165mph. Best get some snake oil and a tuning box off eBay. That'll sort that out

That sounds like the top fuel drag bike I saw on Big Bikes on Discovery last night. Unfortunately he said the fuel consumption was 15 gallon per mile

Even in and out of workshops, it has ammassed miles since that pic

Even with all the threads on fuel consumption that we have seen over the year, you only now post that picture?

If my car went that slow I would sell it:)

Yep. Given the fuel costs these days, its very important.

Regardless of the situation that the run entailed - 65mpg is bloody good for a car of it's size, weight and performance.

Has it came close since the engine has been sorted ?

Top fuel is very thirsty because the engine uses fuel as the coolant.

I know, which is one of the things that keep stopping me changing for a new car...along with relatively poor reliability and less comfortable seats, etc...

The unreliability is great. A man with a flat bed takes you and your car to your destination and you use no fuel. 65mpg becomes infinity.

Ha Ha..LOL.

Like when I came home from Hospital, it cost nothing to do the 35 miles as we were in a breakdown lorry...:D

I'd rather not drive a taxi or a tractor.. :p:D

You had an E320cdi, a mans car:D:D. You chopped it for a girls hairdressers car:p:p:p

At 35mpg thats £6.00 plus....

Do that twice a week, and you can get a curry:doh:
