like the caravan what is it

Abbey GTS Vogue 418, got it last year after the Elddis I had before got rear-ended by an HGV at a roundabout (which made quite a mess!). Max weight is 1445 kgs, which is under 75% match with the Sharan.

I really do think that in order to tow anything larger than a small trailer some form of testing should be required and minimum power/weight ratios enforced.

CAR DRIVING LICENCE FIRST OBTAINED SINCE 1 JANUARY 1997
Drivers who passed a car test on or after 1 January 1997 are required to pass an additional driving test in order to gain entitlement to category B+E

Category B+E allows vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes MAM to be combined with trailers in excess of 750kgs MAM.
(MAM=Maximum authorised mass)

!

they have mate its called my lgv1 and weight ratios are enforced just see how active Vossa are....if your car and caravan exceed the wight of 3500kg then you need a commercial vehicle to tow one with a greater train weight...with the correct licence .

This brought a tear to my eye. There ARE some decent HGV drivers out there after all.... ;)

Caravans are nowhere near as bad as being stuck behind a *@$! JCB. It should be against the law for scruffy old gits to use them to drive from their council estate homes to the building site.

I've driven one of these JCB Fastracs, no chance of getting stuck behind this on a Sunday morning! :)

He wasn't too chuffed, it was a Mothercare artic. and the impact stove one wing of his great big Daf tractor unit in ... jamming up a front tyre, so he had to wait for a recovery truck :D

I think they clip onto your mercedes wing mirrors so you can see the long line of cars building up behind you praying for you to pull over....... :p
