If it turns out to be him, we could have a mini GTG at his house , i could get my bat together with your bat and your bro's bat and we could go and say hello ..... ;)

While your at it you may as well post in the "Events" section of the Forum for "voulnteers" to attend this GTG... :D :p

If it is this "scumbag" that has stolen the skirts/bumper then I would first of all retrieve them back and then deal with him afterwards...;)

what about marking the outside with the UV paint / pens? then use a 12v UV lamp as you drive around..

Or are they painted, and thus will get re-coloured?

At least any chrome bits would show up - wont they?

At one place where I worked a mild mannered young chap had fully resored a Wolsley six. One day when he was away a group of thieves stripped the car. No surprise the police were powerless to do anything as even though the neighbour saw the gang in action they thought it was friends of the owner.

Being bright he had marked all the parts descretely so placed an ad in the paper for Austin 1800/2200 parts. (didn't want to set off alarm bells by requesting Wolsley parts).
His ad was answered and he was shown his parts at several addresses.

He and his freinds visited all the addresses and "kindly suggested" (ok I made that bit up:) ) the thieves returned all the parts. Oddly enough his parts never went missing again. Happy..oh yes!!:D

heres the story

3 mnths ago Brother in Law bought a BMW E36 328i M-Tec T reg. 3 weeks of having it, some scumbag stole the side door mouldings, £130 to replace the set.

Last night he was taken to hospital with food poisoning, I get a call at 1:30am saying his neighbour just rang saying someone was trying to break into his car. When i got there 10 mins later, all the side mouldings were gone, so was the complete front bumper!! they also damaged the lock attempting to get into the car. good old police said they would be round in the morning to get a statement!!!!

I really feel for the guy as he works hard like all of us and is only 24, pays silly insurance, and then cant really make a claim because it will effect his insurance drastically!

Sorry to hear this Alps.

The thieving scum need their hands chopping off to stop this.

It does seem that BMW owners do suffer from this problem, it must be the kind of owners that BMW attract.

A friend had a nice Alpina stripped twice.

He used to drive lots of nice cars ranging from lowly MR2 x 3 porsche 911, Jag XJs, RR, Lotus Esprit x 3, etc.
He used to go clubbing a lot and never had any problems with leaving them in City centres until he bought a Cavalier 2000GSi and BMW Alpina.
Cav stolen twice and Alpina stripped twice.

I'd be up for that if any help is needed... :D

If we get alot of voulnteers then we can use your LWB Sprinter as transport and charge out of the back when we get to the address with our bats (just like the Police do during their raids LOL... :D :D

LOL! No problem, I'll be more than happy to Oblige...!

I've seen some lads beat up another boy who stole the hard tops off alot of M3's in the Forest Gate area (E7 East London)...Needless to say he's never stolen anything again, and is also serving 6 months for theft or something...

Nah, that'd raise suspicion from the thief surely...
