Hi, she is a 1997 W202 C180 Esprit in aquamarine metallic, 5sp auto, it has EW, CL, SR, cruise etc. the only thing is she has 114k on the clock and no history yet!! I hope to chase this up as it is a local car. But I picked her up at auction last week as some of you will know my CE is a bit ill. So this is now my everyday car and the CE for weekends when she is better :D. So far I have not found any problems with the 202 which is a nice supprise as I was expecting something to be wrong as it was in the auction and I paid £1500.00 what do you think a bargain???
I have changed the wheels and done a quick service so far.

Looks the real deal. Cheap too. I would scrub out the number plates though, dont want everyone cloning them for London use :o

Smart looking motor for that amount. Good luck with tracing the history.

For fifteen hundred quid, you can't go wrong. Unless you put a big star on the grille...;)

Nice find :bannana:

I thought I'd brag about my bargain W202 which i got yesterday ;)

1997 P reg C180 Sport... 103k with FSH for... £1400 :D

Did an Ebay job and test drove the car... found a couple of niggles and the guy knocked off a further £100 off the original £1500.. so chuffed :D

Very difficult to beat depreciation but cheap C180 at £1500 are as close as you can get.
Exactly 2 years ago I bought a 97 C-180 Elegance,92k,auto,aircon,FMBSH for £3100 at auction (book was circa £3300 at the time).
I tend to budget for £50 a month depreciation so it looks like I've lost a bit more at around £1400 over 2 years.

I've got to say that my last two W202s and my W201 190Es from the past have been fantastic at 'beating' depreciation as best I can. If you can avoid the £100+/hour trap on older cars you can run a fairly smart car on a pretty lean budget.

Even though I spent more than necessary on maintenance on my last car I still suffered less depreciation over the time of my ownership than most :)

I know it's most probably only my imagination, and I don't mean to 'rain on your parade', but the headlights don't look right? there seems to be an awful large gap between them and the bonnet?

Otherwise great looking motor, and a good price to boot!!!
:)

I paid £1500 for mine too, seems to be the going rate, but mine is 1993:mad: , and it does have a host of unusual extras:) , thay are on it as standard. They are sooo slow though, but you can't have everything. Have fun.
