So the S211 goes in for a service, I go outside to get into the loan car and  WTF is that.......A Dodge Calibre:crazy:
Possibly one of the worst cars I have ever driven, no power, horendous cornering, an indescisive gearbox and an uncomfortable driving position.....I thought they were meant to be courtesy cars not DIScourtesy cars:mad:

I guess I must get lucky, I've never had anything other than a Merc courtesy car.

Just the aftermath of "the messy divorce" from CHRYSLER?

I'm gettin' the hell out of Dodge! echoes of that LYNYRD SKYNYRD classic " Gimme three steps"

Isnt this the same for all cheapo American cars.. you can buy them new from like £9k

On the Insurance form they had it down at £20000:eek:

Saw a crossfire the other. First time I have seen one for months. I had forgotten how gaudy they are. The only 2 American cars I can honestly say I wouldnt mind being seen in in are a "Bullit" style 1968 Ford Mustang and a AC 289. Which is half British anyway.

I keep on thinking to myself 'just how tall is verytalldave?' and could it be that I should change my name to eventallerthanverytalldave?

In new socks.......about 6'-3"..........but that is genuine.:D

Not that tall really..........

In normal shoes my head ALMOST scuffs the head strip on a normal height doorway. ;)

At least it did when I had hair.................

Looks down to find Dave......Being 6ft 4 it really wasnt a good idea to buy a house with low doorways.....

Off to change My Forum name then:D

Well all's well that ends well, I have got the Merc back and the bill was cheaper(£540) than the quoted discounted bill(£610). But for the second time they hadnt ordered a part in:mad: So will have to go back again:mad:

:D

To Be honest I wouldnt even Pay £20 for it, turns out it was a thirsty little thing too, £20 for 90 miles:crazy:

What do think its trade-in value would be in 2 years time with 16K on the clock against a Mini or a Fiat 500?
£5K or less?

Ah...before you do...
I think we're going to need measurments in metric...;) :D

Certainly Less than £5k if they are being sold for £10k, It was so badly made and the engine was under so much strain that I would be surprised to see too many of them still on the road by then!

Never got the hang of this metric Lark, I still work in Gallons and Miles........
