I oped to call mine "Google Classic". I now have google classic back! For how long, I don't know....

I’m getting it now too. As far as I can see this sidebar is for additional search tools and not advertising, when your search results come up, the side bar offers more or less search options, one in particular is the Wonder wheel, once you get your head around it all it can be quite useful.

I think Goggles intent with this is to improve things, give it a chance and try it out.

I've been trying dogpile as an alternative to google today...


.. what a pile of w@nk it is.. Search results full of sponsored links(not dogpiles fault I guess, it can't filter them out) but you get one and a half lines of text per result so you can't work out if it is relevant or not. Also pulls up non UK results despite asking for UK only.

I didn't for two reasons;
1- I use IE8
2- It still downloads the data with that script, it just goes and hides it after the data is hidden...
