YES.. it was supposed to be to illustrate the ridiculousness of that arguement.

If it wasn't crass the point wouldn't have been driven home so succinctly.

Anyway...more personal attacks I see. Is that all you got?

If you think that is a personal attack I'm astounded. All I got? Is that classified as trolling or provocative or both? You agree its crass!! If it wasn't crass the point wouldn't have been driven home so succinctly.

I rest my case.

I am not trying to defend the attack on Lien.

We must remember what proviked the attack though. These guys witnessed Lien deliberately drive over their comrades not once but on two separate occasions, potentially three times.

They were correct in dragging him out of the car. This guy was on a rampage and driving into bikes on a day when there is going to be a large congregation of them. Nobody knew what his motives were at that time so the primary goal must have been to immobilise him and the car.

It sounds like they may well have overstepped the mark and I am not defending that at all if they had. The video above didn't actually look too bad. I saw one kick while he was already on the ground. That certainly wasn't necessary but I can understand the mentality if that was your mate that at that point you thought was most likely dead in the road 6 miles back.

I had an 'incident' with a biker not too long ago. I was with my wife and kids when the biker clipped my mirror and refused to stop.....

.... have to cut some of the story short for legal reasons. I beat the biker up real bad but only when he decided to attack our car and tried to open the back doors to gain access and threatened the children.

I was locked up for a whole day and in the end the whole charges were dropped by CPS who finally came to their senses.

Nobody came to help - the only witness that came forward was another biker who was late on the scene and we all know how that one went....

I am sorry to say, but maybe it is time to put this thread to bed.

People have different opinions, always will and lets just leave it at that.

Kicking someone who is already on the ground is thuggish.

What did they gain from kicking a man who was already down? They should be done for attempted murder. You can't honestly say that these actions "aren't too bad".

Closed.

Bikers V Range Rover driver in NYC, cont...

It's a shame this thread got derailed and closed as it seemed a pretty obvious situation, which is soon to be played out in court.

At present it appears that those charged (all bikers) will probably get 15 years each as the charges have been reduced following Liens better than expected healing.
Shame really, a few permanent scars would have got them 25 years each.

15 years. They're gonna want to take a biker refresher course before they next get to ride again.

Made no secret from the first post on that thread, that it was riders who caused the mayhem and it is them who deserve to suffer the consequences.

So we are agreeing on something, what's next? Snow in July?

;)

The only thing I disagree with is the use of the term "biker"... Not everyone who rides a motorcycle is a biker.. Those guys certainly aren't.

At best they are "motorcyclists" at worst they ae a street gang.. It's not the first time they have done this sort of thing either.

ALL of my friends are bikers, I have spent 30+ years riding bikes and have been a biker for 20+ of those.

The distinction is subtle to non-riders (and to be fair to "motorcyclists" too).

Not all motorcyclists are bad people, most of them are thoroughly decent people, most bikers are lovely once you get to know them too.

The guys in the video give all road users a bad name, it's a shame they chose motorcycles as their method of transport.

It's just as well it wasn't texas, or Arizona I guess otherwise there would no doubt have been a shootout too..

^^^^^^^^^^^^

People will say vehemently argue that they are not prejudiced in any way bit think on the number times you see, for example, things being tarred with the same brush……..

Everyone who drives a particular car is a ****, anyone who lives in a part of the country/town is *****. etc etc. Insert any number of irrational and sweeping statements.

But, hey ho, you can't avoid the human condition to stereotype and the need to categorise.

Missed the original thread and can't be bothered to read it all.
It just amazes me that anyone can defend those bikers?
It seems any incident involving bikes will always have 'fellow bikers' siding with the biker. Staggering really.

Spot on you janner ! ;)

They aren't BIKERS...

Absolutely 100% not true...

Bikers might defend a biker who is in the right, but (a) these aren't BIKERS and (b) if you spend any time with real bikers they'll tell you how those scum deserve everything they get..
