Hi
Had a quick look around here and no mention.

Back on tonight bb2 8pm. I could never stand that ex Friends guy/Matt, but he is beginning to grow on me.

We say the original three on netflix last year, just skimmed through shows, but apparently, this years offering is more like the BBC my son tells me

Dear Admin, sorry if there is already a thread, then please delte. Thanks

Huh? The "original three", The Grand Tour, is on Amazon Video, and the 2nd series has just finished.

Top Gear is on tonight, looking forward to it.

Me to, there is plenty of room to have both as TG tends to be more about cars and TGT more about entertainment.

Very true

But I'm no fan of lasts years top gear on netflix but our son tells us this years shows are better.

The BBC2 trio, are growing on me but I can't stand that little gent (bloke with glasses and beard name escapes me)and I think he will still make the odd appearance

btw, the new Wheeldearlers, the new guy has grown on me very quickly as he does not take any bs from Mike

Are you sure you mean Top Gear on Netflix, amd not The Grand Tour?

Thankfully there's catch-up, as 8pm is the league cup final highlights on C5 for those of us that don't have Sky Footie - so TG can wait!

Greenmanslk, lol, I still call the GT TG, sorry. A bit like our car the GLE we bought new in 2016, first ever diesel, still say going to put petrol in the car - had a few close calls with that - enjoy the show if you are watching.

Can't believe you liked an episode dedicated to V8's Bobby?!
Me I'm not so sure.
Apart from Bonneville, (where we set a diesel land speed record), Wendover Airport, (where we were based for the attempt), Miller Raceway (where we scored Bentley's first ever USA win in 2014), Chris Harris (who I ran in race cars and as a journo), the Mclaren (which I have driven) the Jaguar (which we did Pikes Peak with in 2015) and the GT40 (my boyhood pin-up car) ....I didn't really recognise much else in the program.:)

If you were running a pilot show for a possible series syndication take up by an AMERICAN network that show would certainly fit the bill.;) I have nothing against Rob Brydon but at around 10 minutes long "the star in the reasonably fast car " piece does fill what might otherwise be filled with commercial breaks in an hour long show elsewhere. Just sayin'
It would have been nice if the lads had mentioned that the Le Mans winning GT40's ran a 7 litre 427 cu ins V8 running around 485 bhp for comparison .

I enjoyed it.
But maybe it was because they were extolling the virtues of the glorious V8.

First - this is IMHO!! The 3 of them enjoyed a blast at licence payers expense that told us nothing about the current motoring scene - current issues, new cars etc. Then, the Rob Brydon part was excruciating. Waste of licence payers money.

I didn’t watch it, after the original three left top gear was over lol

Well. Tonight we tried to watch it. After 5 minutes my daughters got up and left the room. 15 minutes my wife was doing emails on her tablet. 20 minutes, I gave up. I found it awkward and uncomfortable to watch and listen. Are all three now American? What possible value is there in taking a ‘road going super car’ off road? Are we really meant to be surprised at its failure to handle rocks and sand?

The whole thing felt contrived and silly but in a naive childish way.

Definitely not impressed. They’re still trying to imitate the banter between the previous three - and still failing. As much as I love V8s, the feature rapidly became boring. It’s getting to the point where I’m nearly as concerned about the BBC’s waste of my TV licence with this as I am with with the ball kicking programmes that they keep replacing my normal viewing with.

I liked it.
