Has anyone ever had the TPMS valves fail from the batteries within them expiring? Supposedly 7 to 11 years expected lifespan. (I am assuming the MB have small batteries in them but maybe they don't?)

You should get at least 8 years out of them buddy, however I have had originals running at 12 years and most tpms last a long time, which is pretty good. Unfortunately when they do eventually die, you do need to replace them. The batteries are not replaceable. There are lots of replacements on ebay which work, however make sure the vendor is selling a plug and play version for your car. Most of the eBay ones are generic running on 433mhz and to preserve the battery life they should be programmed and activated prior to dispatch. 👍
