Track Rod Ends

Hi All,

While doing some weekend bits and pieces around the car today, I have noticed some excess play in the drivers side track rod end. (Think it could be a possible contributer to my knocking noise).

Anyone know the best place to get a replacement part and roughly how much it might be? Also do these need replaced in pairs - I'm thinking not but want to be sure.

They are around £26 from the MB Dealer. Thats where i would go.

you could try europarts, they are country wide and deliver usually, they also supply genuine MB parts at a fraction of the price

Thanks for all the advice folks. £26 seems reasonable and would just need a local garage to fit them for £20 (well I could chance it!!)

Should I be looking at doing the pair though or is this something that can be done as required 1 at a time?

sorry didn't want to be misleading on the europarts advice, they can supply some MB genuine parts but not all, i have bought bottom ball joints of them delivered in MB boxes with MB part numbers stamped on them, when you ring they usually give you a choice of manufacturers. Hope this clears the confusion.
